What Charity (Agape Love) Is and Isn't. by Pastor Mark Siekbert Sr.

Pastor Mark Siekbert Sr leads the Faith Independent Family in the Wednesday Night Service. Pastor Mark continues to prepare the Faith family for the upcoming revival services May 17-19 2024.

The teaching is from 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 on the Biblical definition of what charity, or agape love, is and isn't.

Key Points

  • The Apostle Paul sets forth eight important examples of what charity is and isn't.

  • Charity is long suffering, kind, truthful, worthy, believes, hopes, and endures.

  • Charity does not envy, does not self-promote, is not prideful, and does not rejoice in iniquity.

From the King James Bible:

Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.

-- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV
